Lotus Diagnostics

My Tyrst with hospitals started in 1963, I was born 3 months early ,I weighed a mere 900 gms

The doctors with a heavy heart informed my parents that I wasn’t going to survive.

However when you have God on your side I guess You don’t need anybody else,after a three month epic battle of ups and downs ,miraculously the doctors said I could go home.

My school years at Frank Anthony ,Bangalore were full of fun joy and unbridled love for the outdoors

And an intense hate for Mathematics made  the decision to take Medicine as a career a pretty much  foregone conclusion.

After a fellowship in Philadelphia under the God Of Ultrasound Dr Barry Goldberg,I was back to my beloved Bangalore which I intensely and terribly missed during my sojourn in Philly.

There were only a handful of us doing ultrasound in Bangalore in the late Eighties, it was getting to work at 7am coming back home late at night and attending emergencies at all odd hours travelling about 100 kms a day with my portable ultrasound machine and visiting 20-25 different hospitals everyday.

With the increasing traffic and congestion and exponential growth of Bangalore ,travelling everyday like this became arduous and the idea to start Lotus was born around august 2002 .it was my Mom and Dad who were really encouraged me and guided my wife and me to start a Diagnostic centre which had the most experienced consultants, the latest equipment  and  was ethically run.

Lotus was born on 15^th August 2003.
